Superconducting properties of Rh9In4S4 single crystals
The synthesis and crystallographic, thermodynamic, and transport properties of single crystalline Rh 9 In 4 S 4 were studied. The resistivity, magnetization, and specific heat measurements all clearly indicate bulk superconductivity with a critical temperature, T c ∼ 2.25 K. The Sommerfeld coefficient γ and the Debye temperature(Θ D) were found to be 34 mJ mol −1 K −2 and 217 K, respectively. T...
متن کاملSingle crystals of superconducting SmFeAsO1−xFy grown at high pressure
Single crystals of SmFeAsO1−xFy of a size up to 120 × 100 μm2 have been grown from NaCl/KCl flux at a pressure of 30 kbar and temperature of 1350–1450 ◦C using the cubic anvil high-pressure technique. The superconducting transition temperature of the obtained single crystals varies between 45 and 53 K. Obtained crystals are characterized by a full diamagnetic response in low magnetic fields and...

متن کاملCurrent-driven vortex dynamics in untwinned YBa2Cu3O7 superconducting single crystals
Current-driven vortex dynamics of type-II superconductors in the weak-pinning limit is investigated by quantitatively studying the current-dependent vortex dissipation of an untwinned YBa2Cu3O7 single crystal. For applied current densities (J ) substantially larger than the critical current density (Jc), non-linear resistive peaks appear below the thermodynamic firstorder vortex-lattice melting...
متن کاملGrowth and characterizations of Ba2Ti2Fe2As4O single crystals
Single crystals of a new iron-based superconductor Ba2Ti2Fe2As4O have been grown successfully via a Ba2As3-flux method in a sealed evacuated quartz tube. Bulk superconductivity with Tc ∼ 21.5 K was demonstrated in resistivity and magnetic susceptibility measurements after the as-grown crystals were annealed at 500 °C in vacuum for a week. X-ray diffraction patterns confirm that the annealed and...
